So Allan had his turn at giving me a pep talk which bounced between working and not working, which I think is a good thing when you look at it broadly. The talk he gave me let me keep my working motivation, but put my job security paranoia on a lower burner.

When it rains it pours they say. Come the end of next week I’ll either be happily dropping hundreds of dollars on presents for fam, friends and acquaintances or working on acquiring alcohol poisoning and skirting chronic liver failure as I attempt to drink every bottle of liquor in the freezer at once (quite a few).

I hate that I keep having short periods of illness. Sometimes it’ll be a little headache, or a three hour cold, but it’s really been killing my mood. I’d like these to stop so I can keep my spirits high.

I’m amused when my co-workers keep introducing me to random chicks at chapels as ‘available’ or ‘single,’ but less so when 30% of the time it’s women old enough to be my mom.

Work’s fun my car sucks Tire goes flat I miss my Celica I need clean clothes too I need a dryer I don’t get off days till this weekend I’ve been eating too much peanut butter Erik said he’d help me find a new car I’m kind of looking at an Echo and that makes me want to cut myself since I have to sell my Celica to buy it I wonder If I can find a 2005 Celica GT-S I think I’d settle for a GT if it’s 5 speed I’d really like a Mini Cooper or some kind of hatchback you know but good god I hate new car designs why are Yarises more expensive than Corollas I’ve been drinking too much grape juice and watching too much Top Gear I also bought Psychostick’s “Sandwich” CD and you know if food were a band I’d buy their merch in a heartbeat I miss my guitar I want to play “We Ran out of CD Space” what if your mouth was filled with broken glass and fire ants and 3 meat jambalaya I’ve been working at 8 am every morning and I’m not necessarily fond of it I’m sure I’d mind less if I was receiving full pay but alas I’m in training for a couple more weeks by the time training is done I should be mad pro though I really can’t wait to buy my own car and maybe a 30inch LCD TV deally I want to hook my laptop to it and edit photos properly
But forget all that, I’m doing fine.

Well, it has been quite an interesting few days. I’d have said something but as I found out hours ago, dogs had chewed through my internet cable outside the house and it wasn’t simply the provider being stupid.
I like the saying, “May you live in Interesting Times”. I first heard of it in Drew Curtis’s It’s not News and it says that it’s a curse of Chinese origin. In contextual relation the book I gathered it from, it’s essentially wishing bad news upon people. Natural disasters, diseases, terrorist attacks, all make interesting times and, in a sense, interesting news. Contextually, that’s what it means, but interesting times isn’t necessarily limited to bad things; in that sense, the phrase has quite a bit of relevance to the past few days.
