Yep, usually as summer rolls to an end, the guys and I tend to try to find something big to do. The other day we decided to have a LAN Party just like old times. It more or less went well, in addition to the staple members of Wayne, Jeremy, Melvin and Kyle, Zach and Ashley came out.

Up till then I was just barely acquainted with them and it was cool to know them a little better.

Ashley’s got cool taste in music, which kind of amuses me. I always pegged her as someone who listens to terrible goth or hardcore music, but it looks for her to lean more towards industrial and the likes of electronica. I’ve also found that she’s actually much cuter once she’s been drinking. Maybe I just like girls who talk a lot, but I kinda get why Wayne is so into her haha.

Zach I totally had all wrong though. I thought he was just a random skater dude who knew a thing or two about computers, but he’s way more tech savvy than I figured. I wasn’t pleased to find out he intentionally hid viruses in like 80% of his executable file shares though. He’s also ridiculously good at FPS’s. Like, I saw him play and own in a little CS before we got things rolling and I was like, “oh that’s neat, but not quite twitch FPS-y enough to threaten me. >=D” Then we threw on some Q3 Arena and that shit right there got real. His aim and strafing are sick and God help you once he learns the layout of the map. Quad damage and armor were his like 80% of the time, sheesh. Very cool guy though.

I also got re-intouch with Drew. I’ve known him since back in the day and he’s a friend on facebook, but since I don’t actually use my facebook unless someone tells me to, I haven’t talked to him in a while. It’s definitely good to hear he’s doing well for himself. Still got a bit of that old street racer optimism though. I always like to say this about car guys. We are honestly the most optimistic and forward looking people ever. There’s not a single one of us who doesn’t have plans in mind for our future, the thing is that a significantly more minute amount of us actually have results. Seriously. I had been planning to swap a turbo engine into my Celica since I was 15. Hasn’t quite happened yet, yeah.

I’ve been listening to a lot of techno and crap recently. Jeremy introduced me to Modeselektor and I just love them. I also grabbed some Junkie XL from Kyle at the LAN and I’m just digging it.

Family side, it looks like another family reunion has peeked its head. The last one was in Louisiana and I missed it because I was in Huntsville at the time, and also I didn’t want to go and they so could not make me hahah. This time around, I don’t quite have the excuse to get away. In fact I should be getting out of here to get a haircut upon order of my mother. Yeah yeah.
