You know what I love? Awkward Nicknames. If you didn’t guess that form my uncreative post title, then shame on you. Have a cookie with NO chocolate.
Like, friends who have siblings that are just as qualified for the name. Like, my old buddy Jordan Burns, I call him JB. His brother’s name is Josh Burns. I call him Josh. Josh could have been JB if I met him first. Food for thawtz.
Then there’s Rten Rio. Nobody is gonna call him Rten, that’s difficult as all shit to pronounce. In fact, I’m not even sure how to pronounce it since we just call him Rio. But Rio’s got a brother, Jay. Jay Rio. Jay’s a cool name, so I call him Jay, but you know, when we talk about Rio, he’s always like, “but I’m Rio too.” Bitch, you’re Jay. If your name were Jten, I assure you we would have given you a different nickname. Like little Rio. Yeah, that doesn’t sound as cool as Jay, does it?
This post was kinda dumb, but some days I seem to have brilliant thoughts and personal insights and think, man I should write that down, but i forgot what they are right as I get to a computer or piece of paper. Such is life. This happened a total of 7 times concerning the title of a book I’m writing called “Green Leaves and Brown Flowers” I almost always have a figurative meaning to the titles of my literature, and that one made the most sense to me. But I can’t effing remember it anymore. Sheesh.

Currently writing another story about crazy people and the apocalypse or something. I’m always writing stories about crazy people or apocalypses.
But about Word, I’ve figured out what the squigglies mean!
red squiggly = lol typo lol
green squiggly = word 2007 be dumb lol
blue squiggly = lol you is dumb
It’s rather effective, I must say.

The back of A.J. Jacob’s book, “The Year of Living Biblically: One Man’s Humble Quest to Follow the Bible as Literally as Possible,” coins the book as being “part CliffNotes to the Bible, part memoir, and part look into worlds unimaginable.” It also says that it’s “laugh out loud funny and enlightening”. I’d give all that a solid maybe. How delightfully vague of me. lawl

I’m amused when my co-workers keep introducing me to random chicks at chapels as ‘available’ or ‘single,’ but less so when 30% of the time it’s women old enough to be my mom.

Well, it’s been two and a half days since I handed in my resume and portfolio to the Pacific Daily News and I haven’t heard anything back. I’m kinda disappointed because the office looked pretty cool and the people I met at the desk were really nice.
I thought my portfolio was quite killer too; it had some of my better photo work (not my favorites, but better technically), some of my more recent web design work (which included this blog’s design actually) and a wide range of writing samples (though most were a bit dated). I think it may have hurt that the resume and portfolio itself was a tad bit old (I cant afford to reprint atm) and it had my old cellphone number (which is out of area) and my current e-mail whose name is kind of embarrassing on Guam (hafadai at live dawt com).
