GOT MY CAR! AK deserved unwarranted hate… for their tardiness. Hate totally warranted for the busted cover on my steering column that resulted from them installing the alarm. Looks like I’mma have to fix that one on my own for not mentioning it when I got it. G fucking G.

The car is gorgeous though, and so fucking tiny. As a result of its tinyness, massive ass acceleration. Seriously, scares the shit out of me. I can only imagine what the Gen Coupe is like with 50 more horsepower and a 6 speed. My initial plans for the Miata were for it to hold me over until I was making enough to finance a Gen Coupe, but.. shit.. is the Gen Coupe that much better than THIS? This car is a blast. But part of me is just thinking that may just be the honeymoon feeling of a new car + moderately quick vehicle + my first manual vehicle. I definitely enjoy being low to the ground again though. Feels good, man.
The stereo system is definitely infinitely worse than any car I’ve ever seen though, this includes the final days of my ownership of the Celica where the Radio wiring harness got loose and it stopped outputting sound altogether. Yes, my old stereo when it WASN’T PRODUCING SOUND is better than the busted ass system in the Miata. Sound’s cutting in and out, predictably, the CD player doesn’t work, only one speaker plays, the volume knob can’t decide which way increases or decreases volume, half the buttons on the thing don’t respond… etc.
But this car. Is. Fun. To drive. Outside of traffic. I’m going to have to get used to stop and go with a manual. I’m definitely enjoying not having to do three point turn arounds anymore. Parking lots were hell with the 4runner with it’s massive ass size and seriously ridiculously shit turning radius. My god.
Tomorrow I get to find out if I can fit my camera equipment in the trunk. That’s gonna be fun. lol I’m also seriously afraid of my car being broken into in this neighborhood. It is too shiny for my area. Though no keyless entry with my alarm, d’oh. I have to actually lock and unlock the fucking thing by key. Nope, locking it on the inside doesn’t work. I guess that stops me from locking the keys in side, but God, I’m afraid of forgetting.
kk a couple night shots after I parked it, then I’ll go back to watching 3:10 to Yuma. That or go out to the garage to oggle my Miata some more.
