Oh, this works for me!

Oh, I got responses to some of my resume throw outs! One company looking for an editor (editor of what, I am unsure, but I can do it!) another looking for a videographer. Videographer, photographer, same thing. lol I kid, but I am suddenly ridiculously thankful that I got into hobby video editing and learned to use Premier and Vegas. The first interview is tomorrow, and the second one I have to give the guy a call back to schedule it. Both jobs look pretty ace, but I checked out the first one’s office and it was really nice. I’m kinda looking forward to tomorrow’s interview because a secret part of me likes dressing up in a tie and waking around like I’m important lawl.

Anyway, because of that I’ve been in a pretty good mood today. I received both responses today so there were two happy dances performed at separate times. The first one was performed to Thomas Rusiak’s “Hip-Hopper” and the second one was performed to Yelle’s “A Cause de Garcons“. They were both glorious exhibitions of celebration.

I also need to go drop a line off with someone at Guampedia. Through the grace of my Auntie Joanne’s trying to give me a hand, she put me in contact with someone over there. I definitely need to send them an e-mail about a writing or photography gig.

I also got an e-mail from my older sister. Sometimes I can’t tell if she does these things to be funny or what, but the last e-mail I sent her was like a month and a half ago. It was pretty much just a status update on life since I haven’t seen her for what’s coming on a decade, and I hadn’t spoken to her in half as much. She was acting all pissed because I was graduating, moving, and all these other big things without sending her word. Well, geez, the last time I talked to her prior to then, I found out she had already been in Europe for like over a year. What I’m getting at it that it’s not exactly a one way street. So after I do write her back (which I did with much thought and to great lengths!) I ended the letter with a “now it’s your turn to right me back lololol”. So, of course, that meant a “so now it’s your turn to take a month and a half to e-mail me back”. So silly, I’ll get back to her eventually lawl.

I’ve developed a carnal addition to Mr. Brown lately as well. I freaking hate coffee under any other circumstances, but I can’t stop pounding this ish away. It does not surprise me that this is a product of the King Car company lawl. I’ve since limited myself to at most one a day. I’ll see how that goes.

Other than that, I’ve been sitting on my hands playing The Sims 3, but I stopped last night after it started depressing me lmao. My main character, a tragically hip-young twenty something, moves to a new city to start a new life. This sounds familiar. Well, the familiarity pretty much ends there. This character, named Rye Neezy (lawl) moved into poor housing and had to survive by slaving away as a stagehand at the local theater. His pay was absolutely terrible, as it goes in such stories, so he had to take on other sources of income. Imbued with an artistic talent not to be scoffed at, he started making money by writing novels on the side. He worked hard at these two jobs while still finding time to mate with nearly every woman he came across. After just three weeks had passed he was already a rockstar / best-selling author / master painter bringing in 5000 simoleons a week from royalty checks alone. Not to say anything about the family he built with his beautiful wife and twin daughters, Helene and Deneve. Then there’s his 9 illegitimate children (all daughters!) scattered among 6 different women of the town! It was around the fourth time I told him to stop playing videogames (on his 56″ tv in his beautiful 2 acre mansion) in favor of finishing up his latest masterpiece painting that it all clicked to me that there was something wrong with this scenario. So yeah, Sims 3 is the devil.

I’ve also been working on my comic book. Working title? “It’s Go Time!” It’s about a Korean-American wannabe superhero guy called Yuri Go (but he goes by Go). I sure wish I could draw, it’d really help things along.

Anyway, I’mma go off to do.. things.. I dunno. E-mail people maybe.
